The SeaRey
can be equipped with the Rotax 582, 912, 912S, and 914 Turbo engines.
Although there are requests for Subaru, VW Conversion, Lycoming and other
engines, these are too heavy for the SeaRey.

Rotax 582 is recommended for lightweight, lightly equipped SeaReys and
for `Advanced UltralighY' category in Canada
Two-cycle, two-cylinder, rotary valve engine, oil-in-fuel lubrication
or by optional oil injection, liquid cooled with integrated water pump,
dual ignition, oil pump, dual carburetors, exhaust system, electric starter.

fuel efficient, long-life 912 (UL2) engine is a popular choice for SeaRey
owners.
