OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

Optional Deck with Hatch Both the Standard Deck and Deck with Hatch have an instrument panel molded into them. The optional ABS Instrument Panel provides and extra-sturdy panel to which to mount your instruments. The optional Deck with Hatch also has a handy opening on the top for easy access inside.

Electric Flaps

The optional Electric Flaps use a three-position momentary switch located in the instrument panel. It offers infinite flap settings between 0 and 30 degrees.

Optional Brakes

This system can optionally be converted to dual handles for differential braking. The dual handles are also mounted on the center throttle handle. The optional Hydraulic Brakes system utilizes disc brakes activated by a single heel brake lever located on the pilot side. Dual heel brakes for pilot side are optionally available for differential braking.

Optional Rudder Pedals
The optional Adjustable Rudder Pedal System has Cessna-like action with differential toe brakes (either standard or hydraulic). These can accommodate pilots from about 5’ to 6’6”.

Baggage Compartment Kit
Installed in the turtle deck area, this optional kit includes precut wood, carpet and hardware to turn the open area behind the pilot and passenger into a baggage storage area, providing about 13 cubic feet.

Cabin Heater
The optional Cabin Heater is a forced-air heat unit containing a radiator-type heater core with a fan, using heat from the engine cooling system.

Emergency Recovery Parachute

The optional ballistically deployed parachute safely brings down the entire aircrait with occupants. When this option is

installed, order the "Rotax Radiator" option to take the place of the standard radiator.

Optional Gear Retraction

The optional Hydraulic Gear Retraction system uses a single electric motor-driven hydraulic pump

which activatesdual hydraulic cylinders. The raising or lowering cycle takes about 5 secounds.

The tail wheel is activated at thesame time, using the standard cable linkage.

The Hydraulic Gear is operated by a two-position switch used in

conjunction with the gear lock release handle.

Optional Wheels and Tires

If many water-shore operations are anticipated utilizing the standard Mechanical Gear Retraction, optional 8 Inch

Main Wheels and Tires are available. Even though the inside diameter (8 inch) is larger than the standard 6 inch tires, the outside diameter of the 8 Inch Tire is actually smaller and it is less buoyant than the 6 inch tire. Less buoyancy maker it easier to manually extend the 8 inch tires into the water. However, with the optional Hydraulic Gear Retraction, either size tire can be effortlessly extended into the water before taxing onto shore.
